Pornography?

Pornography or porn is the explicit depiction of sexual subject matter, especially with the sole intention of sexually exciting the viewer. It is to a certain extent similar to erotica which is the use of sexually-arousing imagery for mainly artistic purposes.

Erotica (from the Greek Eros - "desire") or "curiosa," works of art, including literature, photography, film, sculpture and painting, that deal substantively with erotically stimulating or sexually arousing descriptions. Erotica is a modern word used to describe the portrayal of the human anatomy and sexuality with high-art aspirations, differentiating such work from commercial pornography. "Curiosa" is generally used to refer to erotica and pornography as discrete, collectible items, usually in published or printed form.

Being a critic

I have decided to dedicate part of my blog to films.

I have a passion for films, and I guess writing reviews on films I have watched would give me an opportunity to reflect on films I have watched and also to get some sense of satisfaction being able to pour out my thoughts and feelings deeply buried in my head after watching them.


Despite possessing very limited writing skills and a very narrow vocabulary, I think it would be nice to make it a point to make reviewing films a part-time hobby.

Watching films of great quality is a deeply satisfying experience.


Sometimes I finish a film, sit there during the credits, with the hair of the back of my neck standing, too shocked for words, stunned and unable to move.
